FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Gyroville, a build-your-own Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant, will debut its third franchise location in 2018. The restaurant, previously a corporately-owned location, is now owned by franchisee Anthony Nohra. It is located at 6341 N. Andrews Road in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Before coming to Gyroville, Nohra owned a self-serve frozen yogurt franchise in Boca Raton. He decided to become a Gyroville franchise owner because he missed the one-on-one interactions with customers that became muted within the self-serve model.
“Customer service has always been my priority, since I really like engaging and interacting with guests,” said Nohra. “The Gyroville model allows customers to come in, order what they want, have it prepared fresh and right in front of them while also developing a rapport with the person making their meal. I missed making those connections, and I am looking forward to developing more relationships with my guests at Gyroville.”
Nohra was also an avid customer of Gyroville before deciding to own a Gyroville restaurant. He ordered from his local Gyroville three to four times per week because he enjoyed the fresh, authentic fare within the fast-casual restaurant, which also allowed him to get a healthy meal quickly.
“I am really looking forward to taking over ownership of the Fort Lauderdale Gyroville and seeing the brand continue to grow in the coming years,” said Nohra. “The concept works on its own, and it’s exciting to get in on the ground floor of such a great opportunity. As people increasingly seek out healthier options, the demand for fresh, Mediterranean food has never been higher.”
Gyroville prepares fresh ingredients in recipes that combine old-school, Greek traditions with a modern-day twist. Customers follow their choice of protein from the grill or vertical spit through an assembly line process, where they choose from fresh toppings and homemade sauces. Founded by CEO Lambros Kokkinelis, Gyroville jumped into the fast-casual scene in 2010 and currently has locations in Florida, Kansas and Quito, Ecuador.
“Our ‘live-fresh’ mentality has really resonated with customers in our current markets in the United States and abroad, so we are excited to see how the Fort Lauderdale location will continue to succeed under Nohra’s ownership,” said Kokkinelis. “We always welcome the opportunity to bring in new franchisees as we grow.”
Gyroville seeks master franchise developers to continue developing the brand in the United States. The fast-growing franchise also seeks multi-unit operators and owner-operators to bring the brand to new markets, initially targeting the Southeastern part of the country. The company expects to open another location in 2017, along with adding 10 more signed franchise agreements to continue steady growth throughout the United States.
Gyroville was created in 2010 to bring Mediterranean cuisine to the fast-casual market. Gyroville starts by using only the freshest ingredients and prepares them using recipes that combine old-school, Greek traditions with a modern day twist. The concept allows customers to follow their choice of protein from the grill or vertical spit through an assembly line process, where they choose from fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. The first Gyroville opened in January 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Today, there are eight locations in Florida, one in Kansas and one in Ecuador.
